Tamworth, NH Local Energy Committee Update

The Tamworth, NH Local Energy Committee is a very pro-active group of volunteers dedicated to reducing the energy costs for the town.  On September 24, 2009, they were instrumental in having Kathy Beliveau, Sales and Marketing Manager for LighTec, Inc., address the Tamworth Board of Selectmen. 

The focus of her presentation was how LighTec, Inc. could engage the town in a comprehensive energy audit that would be paid for through the award of the Public Utilities Commission's RGGI Grant in July.  The focus of the audit would be on motors and controls, HVAC, heating and ventilation, building shell and recommendations for the town's fleet of light and heavy duty trucks used by the DPW.

The Board voted in favor of moving forward with the survey of their 10 public buildings and fleet.
